About a week ago I went to the Festival of Colors for the very first time. And I had such a great time! I went with my cousin Robert and his 2 friends Ammon & Cassie and the whole experience was just amazing! As we were driving, although there was a lot of traffic on the way there, you could tell who was traveling back from Color Fest by the chalk covering their faces.
And as for the people getting there, well they were just about excited as we were. I loved how open and friendly everyone seemed. They would smile or even wave as they passed you, making you appriciate the welcome-ness vibe. When it came down to it, they were all there for the same exact thing, the color throwing that would occur every 2 hours.
People from all around travel to come to this magical event. You find yourself interacting with other people; countless times I would have people I had never met throwing chalk at me. And getting into the spirit of it, I also threw colors at random people. Most of the time they would smile and laugh, or even say 'Thank you'. I loved every minute of it and would consider this one of those memories you hold on to for a lifetime. I am looking forward to going again next year :)
